Everything is handmade and homemade (packaging, deck, graphic, social media design ...). Handmade leaves room for imperfections, please be forgiving of irregularities and imperfections, this is what makes handmade / craftmanship so beautiful.
We want to showcase the beauty of wood, which is why all cactus decks have a light, minimalist graphic leaving a large blank area.
Thus combining a contrast between the peculiarities of structure and color of the wood and of the drawings.
Highlight the natural beauty of the wood by leaving a large surface, blank with designs.
Cactus aims to produce authentic pieces, two series of decks are available. One is the beanie's deck, a simple graphic, representative of the cactus universe, combining speckled maples on its exterior and tinted green tulip tree between its layers.

The other one is the unique series . Each of his decks are unique. by their graphics, light, minimalist. And by the types of wood and the way in which they are used (games of superposition between layers, exterior marquetry, color, etc.)
Eco responsibility
Cactus wants to represent a minimal impact on the environment, among what we offer, the packaging is in recycled cardboard, design and made by hand, the sending letter of the parcel is in bubble paper for the moment in order to finish old stock.
As soon as the stock ends, we will send the orders in recycled cardboard envelopes, unfortunately some production choices go against these values. The glue we use is a polyurethane glue so it is a derivative of petroleum and its production is polluting, we still choose to use it for several reasons. Firstly we use less than 2 grams of glue per deck which is a little, very little, then secondly this glue has many advantages, for us during production and for you during use. Water and humidity resistant glue will guarantee the durability of your deck, in other words, the plies of your deck will never come apart, they are bound for life. The varnish we use is a synthetic varnish (like most varnishes) so it is toxic when applied but becomes harmless once dry, we use it for its gloss which we love and for its practical application. The wood used in your decks comes from a French supplier so the energy costs of transport are quite low. We strive to develop Cactus in a more responsible direction (find alternatives to the varnish and glues that we use from the beginning...)
Obviously some accessories in the fingerboard are difficult to replace by more eco-responsible alternatives like the grip or the stickers but the fingerboard community being constantly evolving, I have no doubt that we will find solutions. Already visible for example with regard to wheels, where some manufacturers offer wheels made by hand from old skateboard wheels.
